Studie Terms and Conditions

1. Introduction

Welcome to Studie! These terms and conditions ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the Studie website (the "Website") and the French language learning services we offer (the "Services").

By accessing or using the Website or Services, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you disagree with any part of these Terms, then you may not access or use the Website or Services.

2. User Agreement

These Terms apply to all users of the Website and Services ("Users"). You must be at least 18 years old to use the Services.

3. Acceptable Use Policy

You agree to use the Website and Services in a lawful, respectful, and non-intrusive manner. Prohibited activities include:

• Using the Website or Services for any illegal or unauthorized purpose.

• Disrupting or interfering with the Website or Services or any servers or networks connected to the Website.

• Transmitting any harmful or malicious code through the Website.

• Using the Website or Services to transmit hate speech, discriminatory language, or spam.

• Violating the intellectual property rights of others.

• Attempting to gain unauthorized access to the Website or Services.

4. Intellectual Property Rights

The Website and Services contain intellectual property owned by Studie or its licensors, including trademarks, copyrights, and other intellectual property rights. This includes but is not limited to, the content of the Website, the Services themselves, personalized learning plans created for you, and any educational materials and resources developed by Studie (collectively, the "Intellectual Property").

You agree not to reproduce, modify, distribute, or commercially exploit any of the Intellectual Property without our written permission. This includes but is not limited to, sharing your personalized learning plan with others or distributing Studie's materials outside the scope of your enrollment.

5. Payment, Cancellations and Postponements Terms

5.1 Payment Terms

Payment is made online via the online payment platforms (Stripe and Paypal) used by Studie.​

Payment is due in full before the lesson begins.

 

5.2 Cancellations & Rescheduling Terms

5.2.1. Right of Withdrawal (14-Day Cooling-Off Period)

Following Article L.221-25 of the French Consumer Code, you have a fourteen (14) calendar day cooling-off period to cancel your enrollment in our services, starting from the contract conclusion date. You don't need to justify your decision and will receive a full refund for any unused services.

If you have received and benefited from any services during the cooling-off period, the cost of those services will be deducted from your refund.

To exercise your right of withdrawal, you must inform us of your decision by email to info@studie.fr within the allotted timeframe.

5.2.2. Cancellations and Reschedules Outside the Cooling-Off Period

Beyond the 14-day cooling-off period, cancellations and reschedules of lessons are subject to the following conditions:

• Cancellation by Student:

  • To cancel and receive a full refund, you can do so online or by contacting us at info@studie.fr up to 48 business hours before your lesson. 

  • The full lesson amount will be charged if the cancellation is made with less than 48 hours' notice.

  • In case of an unjustified absence from a lesson, the lesson will be considered forfeited and cannot be rescheduled.

• Reschedule by Student:

  • Rescheduling can be conveniently done online through our website or by contacting us at info@studie.fr at least 12 hours before your lesson.

  • If no suitable replacement slot is available, the lesson will be considered forfeited.

• Cancellations by Studie: 

  • In the unlikely event that we need to cancel a lesson, we will inform you as soon as possible and offer to reschedule it at a convenient time or provide a full refund. We understand that cancellations can cause inconvenience, and we will do our best to find a solution that minimizes disruption to your learning experience.

• Refunds: 

  • ​Refunds will be processed within fourteen (14) days of receiving your cancellation request, using the same payment method as your purchase.

• Exception: 

  • ​This cancellation and rescheduling policy might not apply in exceptional and unforeseen circumstances like natural disasters, strikes, or serious health issues. In such cases, we'll work with you to find a fair solution.

  • Studie shall not be liable for any delay or failure to perform its obligations under these Terms due to any cause beyond its reasonable control, including, but not limited to natural disasters, public health emergencies, infrastructure failures, labor disruptions, or government regulations (collectively, "Force Majeure"). In the event of a Force Majeure event, Studie will use commercially reasonable efforts to minimize the delay or non-performance and will notify you as soon as practicable.

6. Disclaimer of Warranties

We at Studie are dedicated to creating an effective and engaging learning environment for you. Language acquisition is a personal journey, and we provide the tools and support to help you achieve your goals. The results you achieve will ultimately depend on a combination of factors, including your learning style, dedication, and consistent effort.

7. Limitation of Liability

Studie shall not be liable for any damages arising out of your use of the Website or Services, including, but not limited to, direct, indirect, incidental, consequential, or punitive damages.

8. Termination

We reserve the right to terminate your access to the Website and Services at any time, with or without cause, upon written notice. We may also suspend or terminate your access if you violate any of these Terms.

9. Applicable Law

The law applicable to the contract is French law.

 

10. Entire Agreement

These Terms constitute the entire agreement between you and Studie regarding your use of the Website and Services.

11. Updates to Terms and Conditions

We reserve the right to update these Terms at any time. We will notify you of any material changes by posting the new Terms on the Website. You are advised to review the Terms periodically for any changes.
